Hungry ? want to order food? don’t want to move out in this rains? Then Curry me up is the place to order from. A place which serves a classical selection of Indian delicacy which shall satisfy both your taste buds and tummy. Cost for 2 here is ₹800. I managed to grab a feel of this place and here’s my view about the food:-
Tandoori Paneer Malai Tikka
An array of Indian appetizers is incomplete without a selection of tandoori dishes. Curry me up had an entire selection of which this was one of the best. A simple cottage cheese marinated overnight with a marination made out of yogurt, ginger, garlic, spices and cream later charred in tandoor till soft and tender. The paneer tikka was smooth in texture, delicate in flavour and had a nice creamy feel as soon as you bite through. It was served along with charred bell pepper and onions which added the crunch and elevated the experience in mouth feel.
Baby potatoes cooked to perfection with proper seasoning and a dash of smoky flavour. It had a blend of spices and a pinch of chaat masala which gave you a feel of North Indian food. It went very well with the spicy mint and coriander chutney, a squeeze o lemon on it would have made it even more interesting.
Paneer Tikka masala with Rumali Roti
I am a big fan of this dish when you have nothing to eat in Non vegetarian. Again the paneer in the dish was soft and tender, cooked along with a gravy made up of onion, tomato and other spices. The Curry being heavy and on a little spicy side was served along with rumali roti which was soft and light, hence balancing the combination of textures.
Masaledar Tofu Bhurji with Garlic butter Naan
Now a days lot of people prefer healthy food where ever they go, curry me up hasen’t disappointed guests in this aspect. They serve some dishes which are absolutely healthy and worth having. Normally healthy food is less appetizing than the regular version, but to my happiness this was not the case here. It rightly served the purpose of the name, a spicy scrambled version of toffu served along with garlic butter naan.
India meal is always incomplete without rice and if it’s biryani then I call it bonus. A simple layered biryani which had perfectly cooked rice(not broken), richness, perfect bite of vegetables and balance of spices.
Phirni is a blend of sweetened rice along with milk cooked on slow flame and can be flavoured with anything and everything. This one was flavoured with saffron and set in mud pot which imparted it a little different flavour elevating the complete experience. A must try.
