The word quench means to satisfy thirst, the same was expressed by them in terms of food and beverage they provided. It literally satisfied our thirst and hunger for some delicious and mouth-watering food. Small outlet yet with very effective ambiance, music, food and beverages. some how they have very good vibes which make you feel good.
The outlet has so many crafted walls, each depicting different and unique meanings. Its a place with lot of energy and enthusiasm. The outlet is placed on the 4th floor, hence has an amazing view through the glass window. Thus one can enjoy good food with good music and good view making your evening a place to remember. Cost for 2 is 1600 Rs. Here is my take on food & beverage served there.
I found the cocktails to be very strong in terms of alcohol, but every cocktail we ordered had a special touch to it.
It was a blend of Whiskey, lime juice, sugar syrup and bitter, the mystery ingredient was egg white which added a completely unique taste to the cocktail. The cocktail had a little sour flavour due to lime juice as the name suggests. A perfect drink for people who like to play around with whiskey. It’s a drink which everyone might not like.
Beach Island Ice-Tea
A classical blend of Vodka, Tequila, Gin, Rum, Triple sec and Sprite. Star of the day for me, perfectly balanced level of alcohol topped up with sprite which diluted the alcohol level. Kick before the feast, the music added to the after effect and yes I was high :p.
A blend of Vodka, Tequila and beer. Not a beer drinker so found it to be good, but could have added little more elements to the presentation.
Mushroom cheese schezwan
Star dish of the day, tempura fried mushroom tossed in dry garlic sauce. A dish which looked similar to chilli chicken, only difference was chicken was replaced with mushrooms. The mushrooms were stuffed with cheese then coated with tempura batter and later deep fried. The dry sauce was made up of garlic, bell pepper, onion and chillies. It had an dominating flavour of chilli and garlic. A perfect appetizer which went well with the cocktails they served.
Prawns in butter Garlic sauce
As soon as I had my first bite couldn’t stop eating, suddenly I looked down and the plate was empty. I didn’t realize the speed at which i finished the dish alone. Prawns tossed in butter garlic sauce and garnished with finely shredded scallions. Prawns were moist, perfectly seasoned and not dry. Simple dish cooked to perfection.
Cheese Chilly Toast
A dish which anyone will crave for, simple toasted bread topped up with spiced cheese mixture. The mixture was made up of cheese, bell pepper and chillies. The portion was very heavy because it was loaded with melted cheese. Crunchy toast and mouth melting cheese made the dish taste yummilicious.
Bigger version of chicken nuggets. Chicken marinated and crumb fried served along with sweet chilli sauce. Shockingly chicken was not dry & was well marinated and not dry or bland in flavour. The crunchy chicken went well along with the sweet chilli sauce. The sauce had garlic, chilli and honey in it.
Spaghetti in pesto sauce with chicken
One of my favourite combination when it comes to pasta. The pasta was dominated with cheese, flavour of pesto was somewhere missing due to it. But the pasta tasted good due to addition of chicken, but the name didn’t serve the purpose.
Chilly Dilly Chicken
A dish with a funky name, it was a sizzler which had a base full of stir fried noodles topped up with saucy chicken . The sauce had a dominating flavour of garlic which gave the dish its flavour profile. A simple dish with very less ingredients but yet very effective dish.
We were almost full after trying so many dishes but we wanted to order one more portion of Mushroom cheese Schezwan , so as an accompaniment we ordered for fried rice. And I was shocked to see, that I ate fried rice more than the mushroom preparation. Rice was perfectly cooked and properly seasoned.
Sizzling Chocolate Brownie
Every feast ends with good desserts and I am glad Quench didn’t disappoint me . A perfect sizzling brownie topped up with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce by side. Sizzling brownie when brought on to the table, the entire room was filled with the aroma of chocolate and you could really fill it. Brownie was crusty from outside and gooey from inside, ice cream added punch to the dessert.
The server was always on his heels to help us. I would like to say thanks to the restaurant manager Mr. Deepak for explaining me in and out of the restaurant and explaining every dish served to us.
A place where you can party along with your friends who like to explore food and try new things everyday.I will surely visit this place again and again.
