Even in Mumbai restaurants start closing at 1 a.m or max 2 a.m and that’s when you need to start wraping up your party, unless you are ready to spend a bomb in 5 star hotel. But there’s a solution for this because The Beer Cafe near to T2 Airport is open for 24hrs. Yes you heard it right it serves beer, appetizers, pizza, pasta for 24 hrs . Isn’t it a dream place to cherish food along with you buddies when you don’t have place to meet up. Cost for 2 here is ₹1500. To know more about the food served here follow my food journey below.
Me and my love for shakes will never die. I expected this dish to be thick and frothy but it was on a thinner side but it made sure that it served the purpose of the name.
A non alcoholic version of classical Mojito which was flavoured with mint and lemon. You could actually feel the refreshing flavour of mint and lemon. A drink which easily complimented the food being served, it also acted as an agent to supress the effect of heat.
Nachos were crisp and not soggy topped up with cheese, tomato salsa and sour cream. The look of this dish was crisp and beautifully done. The first look itself will win your heart followed by the classics which elevates the experience in itself.
Onion rings has been in trend since long now, a simple dish yet very popular amongst the Indian taste buds. Onion roundels dipped in tempura batter , later deep fried till crisp and golden brown. It tasted well when consumed along with sweet chilli dip.
Classical BLT Sandwich
Its a classical sandwich which is simple in ingredients but amazing in taste. Here they had toasted Baguette stuffed with crispy bacon, ice berg lettuce and red plum tomato slices. One of the best BLT sandwich I ever had which was complimented with barbeque rubbed fries and ketchup.
Spring rolls were crisp from outside and gooey from inside. The stuffing was delicious and perfectly seasoned. The crunch of first bite denotes the freshness of the product that they serve. A bowl of this and movie would be a perfect combo to spend a day off.
Three Cheese Pasta
Penne pasta tossed in cheese sauce along with vegetables which was made by combining 3 cheese & cream served along with crusty garlic bread. Each piece was perfectly coated with the sauce ensuring that each bite would taste same, a bite of crusty garlic bread provided the required crunch and body.
Penne pasta tossed in spicy tomato sauce which had a dominating flavour of garlic and chilli. A must have when you visit this place.
Desserts didn’t meet my expectations, there was nothing new but just a simple layered cake in which sponge was flavoured with pineapple essence. A little more incorporation of pineapple chunks would have take this dish to a different level.
Chocolate truffle cake
This was better as compared to the previous one, a rich chocolate cake which was drizzled with chocolate sauce. The chocolate ganache layered between chocolate sponge was rich, creamy and smooth in texture. A perfect way to end the meal
